Dimensions  16 cm. X 7 cm.
Watermark  On the left side of the note , there is a picture of the mask of King Tutankhamoun that appears when the 
   note is exposed to a penetrating light .
Safety Marks  1. A magnetically developed security strap , to assist the counting and sorting machines to identify and 
sort out counterfeit notes.
2. A see - through feature containing the shape of  a pharaonic eye.
3. The micro - print feature : repetitive writing of the phrase " fifty pounds " in Arabic on the face of the 
 note and in English on the back.
4. The latent image feature seen under a reflection of light , and contains the word " Egypt''.
5. The S.C.M2 " Feature a security feature against colored copying.
6. The "Oval " feature behind the Mosque , a security feature against scanning and color coping.
7. The O.V.I " feature , a special ink whose color changes when tilting the note , and it is a security feature 
against color copying and scanning.
8. A luster hologram strap ( upon which the shape of the stepped pyramid is drawn ) , a security strap 
against color copying and scanning.
9.Printing in invisible phosphoric ink , visible only under ultraviolet rays.
     
Obverse Its main element is Abu Hariba Mosque in violet gray . The background has Islamic ornamental patterns in relief surrounding the mosque . At the center of the background is an ornamental circular figure in blue , yellow , red , violet and their mixtures . The note is outlined from the top and bottom by Islamic ornamental patterns in reddish - brown , violet gray , and violet.
     
Reverse

Its main element is an inside view of Edfu Temple in brown . On the top left corner is a figure of the winged sun in violet , brown and golden yellow . Beneath the temple is an ornamental band in violet permeated with fine white lines .The background of the figure has pharaonic arch-like and semi-circular ornamental patterns in relief , and a drawing of the winged scarab, and the sun in blue , green , violet , red , orange and their mixtures.

Watermark  : Tutankhamoun.

Safety Marks  :1. A fine safety strap permeates through the note vertically..
 2. The word "Egypt" in Kufi writing is found on the ornamental pattern on the top left corner at the  
     obverse side of the note, shown when tipping the note at eye-level on either side
 3. An ornamental pattern is circled on the left of the Bank's name, congruent with the figure of the sun at 
     the reverse side of the note above the scarab. The congruency appears when the note is held up to the 
     light.
4. The number "50" is inscribed in relief on the watermark.
Obverse

:   Its main element is Abu Hariba Mosque in violet grey. The background has Islamic ornamental patterns 

    in relief surrounding the Mosque.
Reverse  :   Its main element is an inside view of Edfu Temple in brown. On the top left corner is a figure of the

    winged sun in violet, brown and golden yellow.
